Hi, I'm web developer based in Belgrade, Serbia. I don't design but have a lot experience in building responsive web pages from PSD using BEM methodology and Sass/Scss with or without front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation or Semantic UI. I primarily use JavaScript for both front-end and back-end development, but I also program in PHP using the Laravel framework. I have extensive programming experience on both sides so I feel comfortable working in any position. The more I mature in software development, more I value fundamentals. That is the reason why I spend 3 to 6 hours daily reading books on various topics, from the Algorithms and Data structures, Functional programming concepts, through the Design patterns in both JavaScript and PHP and fundamentals of both languages. In this year my interests came across TDD methodology, and MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js) stack development. So I focus most of my free time learning those technologies. With great JavaScript fundamentals, I found this stack very easy to learn. Mastering it will require some time, but I am happy with every progress I make in my professional career. My goal for this year is to dive deeper into JavaScript, async programming, and explore the following topics and technologies in depth: • Node.js • Express.js • Socket.io • Restful API design patterns. • JavaScript security and performance tuning. • React, React Router, Redux and React Native. • Thinking in a NoSQL environment. • Test-driven development. • Testing UI using Selenium (WebdriverIO) and Node.js • Isomorphic JavaScript applications. • Building Command Line Interfaces (CLI) using Node.js • Build JavaScript visuals using p5.js
